About the Survey...
Daniel Stern and Associates is pleased to present the results of its 25th annual National Emergency Medicine Compensation & Benefit Survey. Nine hundred eighty-four physicians participated in the 2010 non-academic national survey, responding from 50 states and the District of Columbia. The data reported in this survey is reflective of compensation received by respondents during calendar year 2009.
Later this year, we will be publishing a separate 2010Emergency Medicine Academic Compensation & Benefit Surveywith the information collected from academic physicians.
We also conducted a mini satisfaction survey in conjunction with the 2010 salary survey again this year, 677 physicians of the physicians who participated in the non-academic compensation survey also chose to participate in this mini survey, which is titled, Trends, Perceptions and Predictions in Emergency Medicine. All physicians who participated in this mini survey will receive a free copy of the results.
